Westminster Apartments

To support a new model of residential living, ONO designed a uniquely flexible apartment building that can accommodate two large families using the building as a duplex or multiple cohabitating tenants. Renters are encouraged to expand their interior living and communal spaces by engaging with the landscaping and natural beauty of the urban lot. The brick exterior is composed of handmade sand-mold red brick in the tradition of many early 20th century residences in the surrounding historic Euclid neighborhood.

Landscape

The communal gathering spaces in the building are designed to expand outward into the adjacent landscape. Outdoor BBQs, multiple seasonal gardens, and an open recreational space allow for a building that engages with the street and neighbors. Let’s all hang outside!

Facade

An unornamented façade allows for the subtle brick detailing around the windows to enhance shadow lines and emphasize the thick, locally handmade quality of the sand-mold bricks.
