Fishing Hut

Nestled in the woods of Northern California, at the edge of the region’s most rewarding fly-fishing waters, this humble hut offers a quiet refuge—a place to reflect and reconnect with nature. Built from redwood timber that echoes the surrounding old-growth forests, its straightforward post-and-beam structure lends a sense of comfortable familiarity.

A simple, long bench faces outward on the hut’s open side, giving anglers a place to lace their boots and knot delicate flies before heading to the river. A wood screen wraps the more private portion of the hut, filtering sunlight into soft patterns and offering glimpses into the forest beyond. Thoughtful details, like floor planks carefully fitted around existing rocks, ensure this hut blends easily with its surroundings.
